Frequently Asked
Questions About Dog Training
Q: Is Dog Training
Camp a good choice for my training needs?
A: There are many different options when it comes to dog training.
Private/group training will show you how to train your dog yourself.
This can be a time consuming and often frustrating process. A
dog training camp, also called a dog boot camp or doggie boot
camp, accomplishes the teaching of commands and introduces the
dog to working around distractions. You are then able to reinforce
commands that are already understood by your dog. Dog Training
Camp AKA Dog Boot Camp or doggy boot camp can also address behavior
issues such as dog aggression and shyness/confidence problems
that are often difficult for owners to address on their own.
Q: Does the dog training
transfer to the owner when their dog gets back home?
A: Yes it does. The private lesson at the end of camp will help
you understand how to work with your dog when he/she gets back
home. Continuing to work with your dog after dog training camp
is over helps to develop your role as the pack leader. We are
also available for follow up advice and training to ensure success.
Q: What part of the
country do you provide dog training and boarding services?
A: We cover the areas of Northern Virginia, Maryland, Washington
DC Metro Area, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Many of our clients
come from Alexandria VA, Arlington VA, McLean VA, Leesburg VA,
Winchester VA, Front Royal VA, Great Falls VA, Falls Church VA,
Baltimore MD, Bethesad MD, Rockville MD, Frederick MD, Potomac
MD, Hagerstown MD, Germantown MD, Chevy Chase MD, Falling Waters
WV, Martinsburg WV, Charlestown WV, Shepherdstown WV, Harrisburg
PA, Chambersburg PA and everywhere inbetween. We have people
from all over this part of the country using our services for
dog training, boarding their dogs or a combination of both!
Q: What happens to
the relationship with my dog if it is gone for an extended period
of time?
A: Our goal is to help you improve your relationship with your
dog. By teaching your dog commands, you will increase your dog's
vocabulary and improve communication. Time and time again, clients
tell us that when their dog, or rescue dog, returns from training
camp it is calmer and much easier to communicate with and be
around.
